Request IT is committed to ensuring our website is accessible and usable for everyone — including people with disabilities. We work toward alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we continuously review and improve our site's accessibility.
Request IT believes that every person should be able to access information about our services, regardless of ability or the assistive technology they use. We are committed to making our website, requestit.services, as accessible and usable as possible for all visitors.
To support accessibility across our website, we have implemented:
We aim to align with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We do not claim that our website is fully or perfectly compliant at all times. If you encounter content that is difficult to access, please let us know so we can provide assistance via alternative means. Our improvement process includes periodic automated scans, manual testing, and evaluation of third-party integrations.
Known platform limitations (Gamma): Our website is built on the Gamma platform. A small number of automated accessibility checks flag items that stem from platform-generated markup we cannot directly modify. Specifically, the site logo's alternative text and its home-link label, and the page-level language attribute, are generated by the platform and are not editable within the site editor. In addition, decorative hero sections use a background photograph with a strengthened dark overlay behind the text; automated tools flag text placed over background images by default, even where sufficient real-world contrast is present, and we have maximized the overlay to ensure readability. We are monitoring the platform for updates that would allow us to address these items directly. If you experience any difficulty accessing content, please contact us at contact@requestit.services or 415-246-0101.
Our website may include content, tools, or services provided by third parties (e.g., forms, chat widgets, scheduling tools). While we make reasonable efforts to select accessible solutions, we cannot guarantee all third-party content meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We are not responsible for the accessibility of external sites linked from our domain.
We welcome feedback about the accessibility of our website. If you experience any difficulty accessing content, encounter a barrier not addressed here, or would like to request information in a more accessible format, please reach out. We aim to respond to accessibility-related inquiries within 2 business days.
